Ahead of 2023 general elections, Pastor Kingsley Uchechukwu Mezie, has joined the race to represent Umunneochi State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA).
Speaking with National Ambassador, the former Chairman, Umunneochi Local Government Area (LGA), disclosed that his experience over the years in government, secular and impeccable records gives him an edge over other aspirants.
The technocrat whose 2023 coinage is ‘Mezie Umunneochi, Fresh Air 2023 is here’, maintained that he would bring fresh air into the business of legislation and always be in touch with his people if elected.

He has served as an Associate Pastor (Winners Chapel, Okigwe), Assistant Resident/Pioneer Pastor (Winners Chapel, Isiagu Ebonyi State), Resident/Pioneer Pastor (Winners Chapel, Isuochi), Provincial Youth Pastor (Winners Chapel, Umuahia) at various times.
He is today, the Presiding Pastor of THE ELECT FAMILY, a Christocentric and Charismatic Ministry located in Umuahia, Abia State.
The Director of Covenant Businesses and Services; a foremost Business enterprise engaged in hauling and distribution of crushed stone aggregates.
He also doubles as the Director SCEPTRACK NIG LTD an indigenous Construction/Building company.
He was an elected Councillor in Lokpanta ward, between 2008 and 2010. A House of Assembly aspirant in 2011 when he contested alongside Prince Ikedi Ezekwesiri, but lost out on the primaries.
In January 2013, he was appointed by the then, Abia state Governor, Chief T.A. Orji as the Transitional Committee Chairman of Umunneochi LGA, and due to his loyalty and continued commitment to his party; People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he has remained relevant in Abia politics among others.
His achievements, friendly disposition, gentlemanliness endeared him to all and still speaks volumes today.
He has served the State government in various capacities which includes: member Abia State Land verification committee in 2017, an Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor among others.
Pastor Mezie, is an old boy of the prestigious Government College Umuahia (Class of ’86) and an alumnus of Abia State University, Uturu.
He is presenting himself to serve his Constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
