ABHA 2023: Agalaba Stakeholders Describe Prince Ekwenye As Credible, Consistent

Ahead of People’s Democratic Party’s primary elections this weekend, a frontline aspirant, contesting for Obingwa-East State Constituency, in Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Prince Kesy Ekwenye has assured the people of Agalaba of quality and selfless representation if elected for the 2023 general election.

Prince Ekwenye who disclosed this during a consultative meeting with delegates from Agalaba in Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), said that the interest of his constituents would be paramount and protected with zero commitment to selfish interests.

Ekwenye, who is member of Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Abia state Governor, maintained that he will initiate and sponsor bills that would impact on the greater population of Obingwa-East State Constituency, insisting that he will strive to attract people-oriented and viable projects that would improve the livelihood of his constituents.

He called on Agalaba stàkeholders to consider him as a child of equity and competence, adding that Ward 11 where he hails from is yet to produce a representative in the ABHA.

Speaking with our reporter, the Chairman of Leader’s Forum, Ibeme Ward 11, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Theophilus Nwogu, expressed pleasure over the development, adding that nobody from Ibeme Ward 11 has represented Obingwa-East in ABHA

He described Hon. Ekwenye as worthy party man whose records speak eloquently, stating that they would give him the needed support to scale through.

Hon. Nwogu who noted with displeasure that their people have not been given the opportunity to represent Obingwa-East in ABHA, insisted that it would be apt to have Prince Ekwenye represent the constituency for equity sake.

He further described Hon. Ekwenye as a credible candidate that would give Agalaba quality representation at the state House of Assembly.

Meanwhile, the Vice President, Council of Community Youth Presidents (CCYP), Comrade Ome Zak have called on Prince Ekwenye to remain focused and peaceful ahead of PDP primaries for Obingwa East state constituency primaries this Saturday, expressing hope that he will emerge victorious.

Agalaba is made up of Ward Seven, Eight, Nine, 10 and 11.
