An elder statesman and one of the founding fathers of Abia state, Elder Emmaneul Onyemaobi Adaelu (MFR) has hailed the Abia state governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (Ph.D) over massive provision of critical infrastructures in Abia, especially in Aba, adding that the governor has personally impressed him.
The Octogenarian who disclosed this with newsmen in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area (LGA), Abia state, added that Gov. Ikpeazu has brought a lot of changes in Aba which he said was neglected for the past 50 years.
“The Abia governor has personally impressed me especially in his efforts to improve roads that were neglected at various times in Aba and its environs by pre-colonial and post-colonial administrators, amidst paucity of funds. We in Ngwa land are very happy with him. The road networks and rehabilitation gives me pleasure especially now that am alive”, he added.
The live Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) further congratulated the governor for the state’s third position on the recent National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) ranking, stating that it was a dint of hardwork.
The former President of Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture also called on investors within Nigeria and in diaspora to invest in Abia, describing the state as an investors haven.
In his words: “Before this time, investment in Aba was poor but the administration of Gov. Ikpeazu has given hope to people that want to invest in Aba and Abia in general.
The foremost industrialist and founder/CEO CHEMLAP Industries, further commended the Abia governor for building the first flyover in the state, adding that it will in no small measure enhance the economic fortunes of the state.
He lamented the exclusion of Eastern part of the country in the railway revolution, calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to address the discrimination.
The former teacher in Government College Umuahia, prayed for Gov. Ikpeazu to finish strong while urging Abians to be patient and support the governor.
