The Abia State Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu and his campaign team “UdeAbia 2023” visited Ukwa East, West and Ugwunagbo Local Government Areas of Abia State to solicit support of stakeholders/delegates in the forthcoming PDP guber primary election in the state.
Speaking during the visits led by former Abia SSG, Dr. Eme Okoro, the Abia Deputy Governor, Sir Oko Chukwu who clearly understood the topography of the state, informed the delegates that being abreast of the situation, the solution of Abia is not farfetched, if given the mandate in 2023.
He reminded the stakeholders that he has laid down his life for the party as a servant and has also served as a legislator in the State House of Assembly for 12 years, which also saw him lead the House which was adjudged as the most peaceful, as the Speaker.
He said as a legislator he sponsored many bills which positively affected both the state economy and the lives of Abia residents, adding that, “Abia State is a work in progress and I am familiar with the problems of our dear state”.
His words, “Our future is in our hands and the time to make things aright is now. A vote for me during primary election is a vote for confidence and it’s not a wasted vote.
“We must be the number 1 state in all ramifications and you are the one that will determine who govern us.
God has given us a responsibility to do the right thing by electing the best person.
” I’m a party man and I have worked selflessly and assiduously for our great party. I strongly believe that If you work for the party, the party will in turn reward you”.
Sir Oko Chukwu described Ukwa West L.G.A, as the treasure base of the state and deserves the honour and respect, the reason he flagged off his consultation embedded with “message of hope”, in the L.G.A.
In their respective speeches, Chairman, Ukwa West L.G.A, Chief Okey Kanu, his Deputy Chairman, Comrade John Ajuzeogu, PDP Ukwa West L.G.A Chairman, Comrade Comrade Kingsley Enyite; Sir Umezurike Benjamin, Hon. Ikpechukwu Onuoha, and Hon. Ngozi Ulunwa pointed out that in selecting who will govern the state in 2023 that humility would be greatly considered, the attribute which is glaring in the life of Sir Ude Oko Chukwu.
Also in Ukwa East, Hon. Paul Taribo, member representing Ukwa East state Constituency, Ukwa East LGA Chairman, Chief Chuks Wabara represented by his deputy, Mr. Eric Ugbor, the Sole Administrator Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Rt. Hon. Emeka Stanley, PDP Ukwa East LGA Chairman, Sir. Okechi Nwaohu, Hon. Stella Igbokwe and Chief I.N Ahunaya, described Sir Ude Oko Chukwu as a man with great experience and urged him to be strong as there are in support of his guber ambition.
The visit at Ugwunagbo saw the PDP LGA Chairman, Hon. Promise Iheasimuo receive the UdeAbia 2023 team with assurance by
Chinyere Onuoha who responded on behalf of Ugwunagbo people that they will do the needful at the appropriate time, even as he encouraged Sir Oko Chukwu to be strong
Highpoint of the event was a Collective prayer from the Stakeholders who were present, beseeching God to grant his heart desires and bring to fruition the lofty dreams he has for Abia!
