A Vote For Me, Is A Vote For Emancipation, Resuscitation Of Abia Central Senatorial District -Nkechi Nwaogu

 

The former senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Senator Nkechi Nwaogu has disclosed her intention to recontest for the Abia senatorial zone come 2023 under the All Progressive Congress (APC).

According to her, a vote for her, is a vote for emancipation, liberation, restoration and resuscitation of Abia Central Senatorial District from the shackles of misrepresentation and legislative redubdancy.

In her speech at the official declaration of her intention to re-contest for the Abia Central Senatorial District, held at Wonderland Event Centre,Isicourt,Umuahia, the former senator, said she is recontesting for the seat, because it is believed that the older the better interms of legislative know how.

Nwaogu said she has the magic wand to give effective representation and restore the Abia Central zone,so it can compete favourably with other senatorial districts in Abia state and Nigeria at large.

She said the party’s ticket is a jewel of inestimable value which must be given to candidates that are popular, credible and determined to win election and she is among the candidate in Nigeria that has that prerequisite factor, noting that for APC to come out victorious in the forth coming general elections,it must field its best candidates, those that have the pedigree,track record,rich network and are passionate about the people.

Dropping her programs for the people of the area, she said interms of the provision of basic amenities and infrastructures, she would partner with the APC and relevant agencies like Anambra River Basin,NDDC and other federal parastatals to bring about the much desired democratic dividends to the senatorial district and Abia as a whole.

The Senatorial Aspirant said there would be massive women empowerment and skills acquisition programs for the women and as well, she is going back to the Senate to champion the course of Gender Equality and make sure that the gender equality Bill that was rejected by the senate is reversed.

She added that youths of the Abia Senatorial District would be adequately and sufficiently empowered and employed to face the realities on ground,stating that she has done it before and she is ready to do it again.

“To the youths of Abia Central Senatorial District, I have done it before and i will still do it again,as my track records in previous positions i handled was beneficial to the youths”.

She assured the men of Abia Central of a robust representation and organization of a regular town hall meeting to know the various challenges of the people, and there would be empowerment programs and involvement in constituency projects.

“Having seen the people aspiring for the same position,across party line, I stand in humility to say that I am the right and best person to serve and represent Abia Central again.

“As a ranking senator and having navigated through the rudiments of the parliament, i stand a better chance than anyone else to attract the much desired democratic dividend to Ndi Abia Central”,she stated.

She, however,seek the support of the party as she pursue her ambition.

Earlier, the chairman on the occasion, Elder Chibuike Nwokeukwu, said APC is ready in the battle for power shift come 2023.

According to him,he is instrumental to the re-contesting of Sen Nkechi Nwaogu for the Abia Central senatorial district, saying she is Tried, Tested and Trusted.

Nwokeukwu further described the former Senator as an old hand that knows the job.

The Chairman of the APC in Abia, Hon Acho Obioma and the former APC chairman,Hon Donatus Nwankpa,lauded the legislative dexterity of the fine ex senator, pledging confidence that she would deliver well, while appealing for a level playing ground at the party’s primaries.
