Teenage governor of Abia State makes case for Child Abuse victims

Eighteen years old One Day Teenage Governor of Abia State, Miss Chineme Joy Ota, has called for the establishment of Youth Friendly Centre in the State to tackle the cases of child abuse.
Speaking during her inauguration at Government House Umuahia, the One Day teenage Governor, said she was orphaned at tender age and had faced child abuse but thanked God for seeing her through and making her a voice for the oppressed.
Miss Ota, on behalf of the 20 members of her Executive,while thanking Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for granting her the opportunity of becoming the teenage Governor of 2018  requested that theTeenage Governor should continue in the State as Abia has been known to be teanage friendly.
She called on all to work together to move Abia State to greater heights.
The teanage Governor who hails from Amaekpu Ohafia is a student of Ohafia Girls Secondary School (O.G.S), Ohafia Local Governnent Area.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in his address,congratulated the teenage Governor and her executive on their successes and expressed hope that they would excel in their future proffessions.
Ikpeazu appreciated the performance of Abia students in public examinations within the last three years adding that Abia has maintained the lead in the public examinations, a feat which he said has made Abia proud.
He urged the teenage Governor and her team to ensure they learn how governnent is run.
Ikpeazu who highlighted various projects his administration has embarked upon, including road constructions, agriculture, education among others, encouraged them to visit some of the projects he has done in the state .
