Abia Gets New Chief judge

Justice Onuoha Ogwe has been sworn-in as the substantive Chief Judge of Abia State.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House Umuahia, the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu expressed confidence that the new chief judge will bring a new lease of life to the state judiciary.
Governor Ikpeazu while congratulating Justice Onuoha Ogwe on his new position and expressed confidence in the ability of the new Chief Judge to make a difference.
He noted that his administration enjoys a robust working relationship with the judiciary and assured that efforts are on top gear to provide a more conducive working environment for the judiciary workers adding that arrangements are ongoing to build conducive office environment for the Judges and Magistrates in the State.
Responding, the Chief Judge, Justice Onuoha Ogwe promised to maintain the cordial relationship existing between the judiciary and the executive arm of government.
Justice Ogwe,who made a case for regular interface  among the three arms of government so as to rub minds on ways to move the state forward,assured that the judiciary will continue to support the executive arm to deliver on its mandate.
He said that the Judiciary is not anti governnent as some perceived but working to support the government of the day.
