CAF CLUB COMPETITIONS: Nigerian Clubs Have Contrasting Fortunes.

Nigeria’s representatives in this season’s CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, Lobi Stars of Makurdi and Rangers International of Enugu had contrasting fortunes in their first matches last night.

In the CAF Confederation Cup Rangers International playing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium defeated Defense Force of Ethiopia courtesy of Aguda’s two penalties in the second half.

Lobi Stars were not that fortunate as the lost their CAF Champions League opener away to UMS de Loums of Cameroon by a lone goal.
