UEFA Champions League: Manchester City Aim To Extend English Club’s Dominance Over Lyon

Manchester City of England will host Lyon of France in one of group F matches of the UEFA Champions League with eye on continuing the dominance of English clubs over the French side.

Lyon have played eight times against an English opposition, but have won only once against Liverpool in 2009. they managed to draw four of the matches and lost three.

This is the first time both sides are meeting in a UEFA competition. However, no French side have ever beaten The Citizens at the Etihad Stadium.

In the group’s other match Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine will host Hoffenheim of Germany.
