CAF Confederation Cup: Enyimba Holds Rayon Sports In Kigali

The People’s Elephant, Enyimba International of Aba put up a brave fight to hold their host Rayon Sports of Rwanda to a goalless draw in the first leg of the quarter-finals of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Enyimba will have their destiny in their hands when they host the Rwandan side next Sunday in the return leg at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba. A win of any margin will see the Nigerians book a place in the semi-finals. But, a score draw will see Enyimba crash out of the championship.

It will be recalled that Enyimba is the only Nigerian team still playing in the continent.

In another quarter final clash, title favorites, Raja Casablanca, defeated their host, CARA Brazzaville 1-2.

The winners of both quarter finals will meet in the semi-finals.
