Amaise, Umuezegbe urged to obtain their PVCs

The Permanent Secretary, Government House, Umuahia, Elder Bernard Ogbonna has urged the people of Amaise/Umuezegbe community of Obingwa Local Government Area and entire residents of Abia State to use the extension of the registration exercise by Independent National Electoral Commission  (INEC) to ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter Cards.

 

Elder Ogbonna was speaking while receiving in audience, his kinsmen and people of Amaise/Umuezegbe community , who were at  Government House for a solidarity visit to both the Governor and Permanent Secretary. He equally enjoined those living outside Abia to ensure they register in Abia, stressing that it is the PVC that would be used to return the Governor to office in 2019.

 

The Permanent Secretary assured that he would continue to assist the Governor in ensuring that the electoral promises made were fulfilled and informed that the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has performed creditably in all sectors of the economy.

He disclosed that the Governor has awarded the construction of Portharcourt road with six lanes, opened alternative roads to Akwa-Ibom State, promoted Made in Aba products among other achievements.

 

According to him, the Governor would look into the situation of the Amaise primary school, with a view to rebuilding it. He equally told them that the Governor has lifted the embago on employment and urged their children to pick the forms.

 

 

Elder Ogbonna, who thanked the people for coming to show solidarity to the Governor and himself, who are all members of Amaise Ward Seven also encouraged them to be active in government and political activities  to enable them remain relevant in the scheme of things.

said they came to thank Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for chosen to work with their son, Elder Bernard Ogbonna and appreciated the harmonious relationship existing between the Governor and their son.

 

They appreciated various achievements of the Governor so far and reaffirmed their support for his reelection in 2019. The stakeholders equally lauded Elder Ogbonna for sponsoring the INEC registration exercise in the community and said  that they have obtained their PVCs and were ready to vote the Governor enmasse.

 

The people, who told the Governor

not to border to campaign in their community, volunteered themselves to join the Governor for campaigns in other parts of the State and requested the Governor to fix their road, rebuild the Amaise primary school, employ their young people as well as empower their women .

In a vote of thanks, the community leader, Mr. Humble Appolos expressed confidence that the Governor would receive their messages and applauded the Permanent Secretary for given them audience as well as urged him to continue to discharge his duties efficiently, saying that the people are proud of the Governor.
