Leaders and stakeholders of All Progressives Congress in Ukwa east and Ukwa west local government areas of Abia state have endorsed Chief Marc Wabara, former Group Managing Director of defunct Hallmark Bank for senate to represent the people of Abia south senatorial Zone in 2019 election.
The APC leaders however issued a quit notice to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and PDP for their failures to live up to the expectations of the people of Abia south senatorial zone.
Speaking at Ohambele in Ukwa east local government of the state, the Abia state Deputy chairman of APC, Chief Ogumka Adiele who spoke on behalf of APC stakeholders in Ukwa west local government area described Chief Wabara as honest man who have made indelible marks as banker, businessman and in politics.
Adiele assured Wabara that the people of Asa(Ukwa west) is solidly behind him as he has availed himself to run for Abia south senatorial election in 2019.
He said that nothing will stop APC from winning Abia south senatorial zone come 2019 and called on party stakeholders to remain steadfast, courageous and work for the victory of APC in 2019 poll.
Also speaking on behalf of Ndoki (Ukwa east)Comrade Benedict Godson, publicity secretary of the party in the state, backed Chief Marc Wabara quest to contest for Abia south senatorial election in 2019.
He explained that the antecedents of Wabara would speak for him and expressed confidence that sir Wabara would deliver if given the mandate.
During the meeting, about 200 labour party members announced their defection to APC and pledged to work for the victory of APC in Abia south senatorial zone come 2019
In his responses, Chief Marc Wabara thanked the APC stakeholders for their support and issued a quit to PDP, saying that ruling party has crippled the governances of Abia state.
Before the commencement of the meeting, Chief Marc Wabara flanked by state officers of APC, commissioned the ikwueke APC ward office in ohambele Ndoki of Ukwa east local government area.
