Atiku reaches out to Buhari over son’s accident

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has commiserated with the family of President Muhammadu Buhari over the bike accident involving Yusuf Buhari, the president’s only son.

Abubakar, who expressed his condolences on Twitter, wished Yusuf a speedy recovery.

Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, confirmed that Yusuf broke a limb and had a head injury in the accident which occurred in Abuja on Tuesday night.

Shehu, however, said he was in a stable condition after undergoing surgery at a clinic in Abuja.

“Our thoughts are with the first family – our family will be praying for you. We wish Yusuf a speedy recovery,” Atiku wrote on Twitter.

On Wednesday evening when TheCable visited Cedacrest Hospital, where Yusuf is being treated, at least five mobile policemen were seen at the entrance.
