Eight Homes have been scheduled to take part in this year’s Kidsport Charity Cup slated for today at the Campos Mini Stadium.The event, a one-day grassroots football tournament being played between Orphanages and Homes for the less privileged in Lagos State.
Scheduled for today’s championship are the SOS Isolo, SOS Owu, Street Child Care and Welfare Initiative, Citadel of Grace Home and Arrows of God.Others include Project Friendship Initiative, Child Life Line and Habitation of Hope.
According to the organisers, the championship is supported by the Hope Alive Initiative (HAI), an innovation of the House of Oduduwa Foundation under the umbrellas of His Imperial Majesty, Arole Oduduwa, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife.
Aside its backing of the Kidsport Charity Cup, HAI, also supports other NGOs, while it hopes to reach a large number of people regardless of geographical limits to eradicate the perils of suffering in today’s reality.
