NUJ FCT, Chinese Cultural Centre Strengthen Media Partnership

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, and the Chinese Cultural Centre in Nigeria have reaffirmed their commitment to deeper collaboration following a strategic engagement aimed at strengthening media relations and cultural exchange.

The engagement, hosted as a dinner by the Director of the centre, Yang Jianxing, brought together executive members of the NUJ FCT Council in Abuja for discussions on expanding cooperation between the media and international cultural institutions.

The NUJ delegation, led by its Chairman, Grace Ike, described the meeting as productive and engaging, noting that sustained collaboration between media organisations and global cultural institutions is essential for promoting responsible journalism and mutual understanding.

During the event, representatives from both sides emphasised the importance of dialogue, professional exchange and cultural diplomacy in building long-term institutional partnerships.

Participants engaged in interactive sessions and experience-sharing discussions aimed at deepening professional ties and fostering greater cooperation between journalists and the Chinese Cultural Centre.

Observers noted that the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen relations between Chinese institutions in Nigeria and key stakeholders within the country’s media landscape.
