Royal Fathers Commend Otti, Pledge Support For Continued Development

 

Traditional rulers in Abia State have commended Governor Alex Otti for prioritising the security of lives and property, describing his administration’s efforts as decisive and people-oriented.

The monarchs spoke to journalists after a closed-door meeting between the Governor and the leadership of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, alongside chairmen of the 17 Local Government Areas, held at his country home in Nvosi, Isialangwa South Local Government Area.

 

Chairman of the Council, Eze Linus Nto-Mba, on behalf of the Monarchs, thanked the Governor for the numerous road projects executed across the State, noting that improved road network has enhanced economic activities and eased transportation challenges for residents.

Eze Nto Mbah explained that the visit was to formally appreciate the Governor for his performance in office and to encourage him to sustain the momentum in delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Abia State.

The royal father, who expressed pride in the Otti led administration’s achievements, said the traditional institution was particularly impressed with the strides recorded in security, infrastructure, healthcare revitalisation, reforms in the education sector, prompt payment of salaries and pensions among other governance reforms, which have collectively repositioned the State.

According to Eze Nto Mbah, the State traditional Council have resolved to support the Governor’s future political ambitions noting that such backing would enable him to consolidate on ongoing developmental projects and further transform the State.
