2027: Akpabio’s Kinsmen Back Him, Tinubu, Eno as RHI Inaugurates Committee

People of Essien Udim Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, the hometown of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, have declared their strong support for his reelection, as well as for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno in the 2027 general elections.

This came as the Renewed Hope Initiative inaugurated its Chapter Coordinating and Advisory Committee in the area.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the Essien Udim Local Government Council on Monday, Engr. Uwem Okoko, President General of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, commended the newly inaugurated executive and advisory members. He urged them to promote the ideals and objectives of the initiative.

He also emphasized the importance of Essien Udim as the hometown of the Senate President and expressed confidence in the continued loyalty and political support of the people.

The Chairman of Essien Udim Local Government Area, Hon. Ntiedo Usoroh, expressed appreciation to the President, the Senate President, and the Governor. He also pledged the commitment of the Coordinating Committee to deliver strong electoral support for the three leaders in the 2027 elections.

In his remarks, the International Coordinator of the initiative, Otuekong Udo Kirian Akpan, described Essien Udim as a politically important area within the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District. He commended the large turnout at the event and noted that the visit was part of a wider statewide engagement, with Essien Udim serving as a key stop.

The event also featured goodwill messages from several dignitaries, all of whom expressed a shared commitment to mobilizing support across the local government area.

They noted their satisfaction with the unity, coordination, and readiness shown by stakeholders to strengthen political support and promote the Renewed Hope agenda.

Prince Ukpong Akpabio also spoke at the event. He emphasized the unity among political leaders in Essien Udim and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining alignment with both the state and federal administrations.
