Renowned philanthropist and entrepreneur, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has paid tribute to women across Nigeria and around the world as the global community marks International Women’s Day, describing them as the backbone of families, drivers of economic growth, and architects of a more progressive society.
In a goodwill message released on Sunday to commemorate the annual celebration, Dr. Anyaso applauded the resilience, strength, and outstanding contributions of women in all spheres of life, noting that their dedication continues to shape the future of communities and nations.
According to him, women have consistently demonstrated remarkable leadership, innovation, and courage despite numerous challenges, stressing that their role in nation-building cannot be overstated.
“Today, we celebrate the achievements, sacrifices, and unwavering determination of women who continue to inspire hope and transformation across the world. Women are not only the pillars of our homes but also key drivers of social and economic development,” he said.
Dr. Anyaso emphasized the need for stronger commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women through education, entrepreneurship, leadership opportunities, and supportive policies.
He urged governments, institutions, and private sector leaders to intensify efforts toward creating an enabling environment where women can thrive and contribute their full potential to national development.
“Empowering women is not just a moral obligation; it is a strategic investment in the future of our society. When women are empowered, communities prosper, economies grow, and nations become stronger,” he added.
The philanthropist also encouraged young women to remain confident, pursue their dreams with determination, and continue breaking barriers in every field.
As the world celebrates International Women’s Day, Dr. Anyaso reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift women and promote inclusive development. He also wished women a fulfilling celebration and commended their invaluable role in shaping a more equitable society.
