Christmas: Wabara Calls for Responsible Leadership, Peace, Unity

Former Executive Chairman of Ukwa-East Local Government Area, Hon. Chuks Wabara, has extended warm Christmas greetings and New Year wishes to the people of Ukwa-East, Abians and Nigerians at large.

In his goodwill message made available to newsmen today, Hon. Wabara called on citizens to embrace the true spirit of Christmas by fostering peace, love, and unity in their homes and communities. He noted that the season offers an opportunity for reflection, renewal, and recommitment to shared values that promote harmony and collective progress.

He also called for responsible leadership, adding that it is a recipe for nation building.

In his words: Leadership at all levels must exhibit virtuosic empathy with a clear understanding of the sufferings of the poor masses due to inflation and klepeptomaniac political leaders.”

Wabara, who also urged Nigerians to remain patriotic, enjoined Christians to emulate the sacrificial lifestyle of Jesus Christ, especially during the Christmas season and at all times. He emphasized that selflessness, compassion, and service to humanity remain essential virtues for national growth and peaceful coexistence.

Hon. Wabara further expressed hope that the spirit of Christmas would renew the strength of the people and usher in greater prosperity in the coming year. He encouraged residents to remain resilient and optimistic as they look ahead to a New Year filled with renewed possibilities.
