The Secretary to the Government of Abia State, Professor Kenneth Kalu, has congratulated the newly elected executives of the Nigerian Legion, Abia State Council, with a charge to be intentional and deliberate in uniting members across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
Prof. Kalu gave the charge while receiving the new executive members in his office, urging them to serve with sincerity of purpose and prioritize the welfare of their members. He assured them of the continued support of the Dr. Alex Otti-led administration in strengthening the operations and relevance of the Legion in Abia State.

Presenting the new leadership, the leader of the electoral delegation from the Federal Ministry of Defence, Abuja, Mrs. Rhoda Keke, applauded the peaceful conduct of the election and expressed appreciation to Governor Alex Otti for his continuous support and benevolence to the Nigerian Legion.

In his response, the newly elected Chairman, Lt. Col. Stanley Odionyefe (Rtd), expressed deep gratitude to the state government and pledged to work hand in glove with all stakeholders to reposition the Abia State Legion to a vintage height of relevance, unity, and service.

Mr. Emeka Aguocha – Treasurer
