The Secretary to the State Government , Prof. Kenneth Kalu, has assured the National Orientation Agency (NOA) of the Government’s partnership with agencies and establishments whose values are in line with the goals of the present administration.
Prof. Kalu who gave the assurance in his conference room when officials of the NOA paid him a courtesy visit, reaffirmed the commitment of the administration of Governor Alex Otti to rebuilding Abia State across all sectors, in line with the vision of making the state truly “God’s Own State.”

The chief scribe who noted that the focus of the present administration is to build a community of decent and responsible citizens, also highlighted the establishment of the Abia Leadership Academy, which according to him is designed to train young people on ethical leadership and empathy, as part of the state’s moral reorientation drive.
The SSG who maintained that the crucial role of NOA in reorienting citizens towards good behaviour cannot be over emphasized, charged them to take their job seriously even as he assured them of government’s support.

Earlier in his speech, the director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Abia State Directorate, Comrade Victor Orji, said that the visit to the SSG’s office was aimed at strengthening partnership and reaffirming the agency’s commitment to collaborate with the state government.
Comrade Orji who explained that such collaboration would help the agency effectively disseminate the policies, programmes, and activities of the present administration to the grassroots, highlighted some of the challenges facing the agency to including the need for renovation and furnishing of its office, as well as the construction of a mini–conference hall, among others.
