The Secretary to the Abia State Government (SSG), Professor Kenneth Kalu, has appealed to Abians to continue supporting the administration of Governor Alex Otti by fulfilling their civic obligations, particularly through regular tax payment, to enable the government sustain its developmental projects across the state.
Professor Kalu made the call while receiving members of the Old Students Association of Triumph Vocational College, Asaga Ohafia, led by the Member representing Ohafia South State Constituency, Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoko, during a courtesy visit to his office at the Government House, Umuahia.
Welcoming his former classmates, the SSG expressed joy over their unity and reunion, noting that Governor Otti’s administration remains focused on building a prosperous Abia for all. He highlighted some of the achievements of the present government, including extensive road construction and rehabilitation in both urban and rural areas such as Ohafia, as well as the successful training of 1,000 youths under the Abia Leadership Academy to instill leadership values and equip them with future-ready skills.
Professor Kalu thanked the group for their visit and wished them success in their respective endeavours.
In his remarks, Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoko said the visit was aimed at reconnecting with their former classmate and congratulating him on his well-deserved appointment. He commended Professor Kalu’s contributions to the current administration and prayed for divine wisdom to continue supporting the Governor’s efforts in advancing the state’s development.
