Chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah (LINTO), has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, on the occasion of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
In his goodwill message to commemorate this year’s Independence Day celebration, Eze Linto sued for peace across the country to enable the people to uphold the visions of Nigeria’s founding fathers.
The royal father used the occasion of the anniversary to call for tolerance among Nigerians and stressed the need for citizens to see one another as one in order to move the country forward.
Eze Mbah, who lamented the mindless killings, kidnappings and pockets of insecurity bedevilling Nigeria, noted that these were not part of the visions of the founding fathers.
He maintained that with love and patriotism, “these challenges would be reduced if not totally eliminated”.
The monarch while reflecting on the nation’s journey so far, said that at 65, Nigeria ought to have overcome certain challenges, including food insecurity and therefore called on Nigerians to cooperate with governments at all levels and encourage citizens to embrace agriculture.
The number one traditional ruler in the state also thanked God for the relative peace being witnessed in Nigeria. He remarked that although “Nigeria has not achieved all she desires to achieve, the nation is certainly no longer at the place she was at Independence”,
While appreciating Governor Otti for his efforts in delivering the dividends of democracy to Abians, particularly in healthcare, education, security, and prioritising the welfare of workers and pensioners, Eze Mbah commended the Governor’s commitment to the people.
He further used the opportunity to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Abia as he prepares to commission Port Harcourt Road and other projects in the state this Friday, 3 October 2025.
Eze Mbah expressed delight that “Mr President is coming to celebrate transformational projects of Governor Alex Otti with Abians”,
