West Ham Appoint Nuno Espirito As New Coach

West Ham United has announced the appointment of Portuguese gaffer Nuno Espiritov Santo as their new manager. In a release on their X handle the club states that Nuno has signed a three-year contract with the Hammers and will take charge of his first match on Monday evening when they travel to Everton in the Premier League.

Recall that he led Nottingham Forest to European qualification via a seventh-place Premier League finish and the FA Cup semi-finals last season.

The former FC Porto player has coached Wolverhampton Wanderers and Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

“I am very pleased to be here and very proud to be representing West Ham United,” the 51 year old Nuno said. “My objective is to work hard to get the very best from the team and ensure that we are as competitive as we possibly can be.”

Nuno’s appointment follows the sacking of former manager Graham Potter.
