Abia Govt Moves To Revitalise Abia Hotels Limited

The Abia State Government has announced that plans have reached advanced stages to revitalise the moribund Abia Hotels Limited as part of its commitment to ensure no state-owned asset is left to waste.

The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the outcome of this week’s Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Alex Otti.

“In line with the State Government’s agenda to revitalize moribund companies and to ensure that no state-owned assets are wasted, plans have reached advanced stages to revitalize Abia Hotels Limited, Umuahia.

“The recovery process of that facility has reached an advanced stage, and further details about that process will be unfolded in due course to the press.

“However, it is worthy to note that under the watch of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, no government asset will be allowed to waste or be misappropriated by government officials, as was the case in the past,” he said.
