EPL: Zubimendi Double Helps Arsenal Ease Past Forest

Ange Postecoglou’s debut in charge of Nottingham Forest ended in a defeat as Martin Zubimendi scored his first goals for Arsenal to give the Gunners a comprehensive 3-0 victory.

The former Tottenham manager had never beaten Mikel Arteta in four previous meetings, and that run continued as Arsenal controlled proceedings despite Forest showing flashes of promise.

Chris Wood’s clearance after a corner fell to Zubimendi, who lashed a volley past Matz Sels via a slight deflection off Murillo.

Just a minute into the second half, Eberechi Eze, who was making his first start for the club, set up Viktor Gyökeres for a close-range finish.

Zubimendi sealed the win with a second goal, heading in from Leandro Trossard’s cross to cap a commanding display.
