Gov Otti Announces Fresh Appointments, Names Ace Broadcaster Adaeze Iroegbu Chief Moderator

 

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has appointed ace broadcaster with the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia (BCA), Lady Adaeze Ivy Iroegbu, as Chief Moderator in the State’s Protocol Unit.

 

 

Lady Iroegbu, who brings a wealth of broadcasting and public communication experience to her new role, has built an impressive career in the media which has earned her recognition as a seasoned professional with the BCA.

 

 

Her appointment is expected to strengthen the Governor’s official protocol engagements and elevate the standards of public interface in State functions.

 

The Governor also approved the appointment of Uche Nwosu as Chief Protocol Officer, with Ikechukwu Nwankwo as Deputy Chief Protocol Officer.

 

Other members of the team include, Emmanuel Paul Irechi, Amarachi Inyama, and Augustine Chukwuebuka, all of whom were named Protocol Officers.

 

 

According to a press statement on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Kenneth Kalu, the Governor reconstituted the Governing Council of the Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, with Dr Joe Emeson as Chairman and Dr (Mrs) Idowu O. Eluwa as Provost.

 

 

To strengthen Abia’s representation at the federal level, Iheanyi Frank Chinasa was appointed Chief Liaison Officer and National Assembly Liaison Officer at the Abia State Liaison Office, Abuja.

The Governor also constituted a new Board for the Abia State Transport Corporation, with Emmanuel M. Ufomba as Chairman while Godanswer P. Kalu, Mrs Salomey Onwu, Kingsley Oriaku, and Onyebuchi Nna would serve as members.

 

 

In addition, Governor Otti named Chima Raymond Ukwa as Special Assistant on Sports, Prince Christian Enwerenmadu as Special Adviser on Agriculture, and Mrs Chinenye Nwaka as Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs.

 

 

According to the SSG, the appointments take immediate effect.
