Former Abia Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu Set to Join Labour Party
The immediate past Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, is expected to formally join the Labour Party on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
The defection will be officially marked by a reception ceremony led by Governor Alex Otti, signaling a significant political shift in the state’s political landscape.
Sir.Oko Chukwu’s move comes amid a wave of resignations from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), suggesting a broader realignment of political forces in Abia.
