He reiterated his administration’s resolve to deliver infrastructure that will enhance commerce, ease mobility, and improve the quality of life for all Deltans.

Speaking during the tour, the Governor described the Udu Harbour Market—with 604 lock-up shops, 120 open stalls, a modern abattoir, and other facilities—as one of the largest in the state. He emphasized its potential to drive economic growth and create new revenue opportunities for residents.

“This market is a strategic economic project. When completed, it will bring long-term benefits to our people and boost local commerce”, he said.

He also referenced other key roads such as Opete, Orhuwhorun, and the Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh Road as part of a broader plan to develop all parts of the state. Dispelling claims of marginalization, he stated:

“I am an Urhobo man, but I am not just for the Urhobos—I am for all Deltans”.

The Governor assured that all ongoing projects are fully funded, with no payment delays to contractors.

“There is no place in Nigeria where contractors are not owed—except here in Delta,” he said, urging contractors to maintain high quality and meet delivery deadlines.

At the Enerhen Junction Flyover, Governor Oborevwori noted that the structure was designed to reduce traffic congestion and improve access to major areas. He empathized with motorists over previous delays but assured them of imminent relief.

“It is encouraging to see the people’s excitement. Their support shows we are on the right path,” he remarked, commending Julius Berger for upholding high standards.

He revealed that the ramps and fillings have been completed, and final asphalting would soon commence.
