This partnership is a model of what can be achieved when institutions work hand-in-glove for public good,” Dr. Chukwu stated.

The medical facility is christened “HRM (Eze) Reuben Oguchi Okwale (JP) Chieze II of Umuchieze Memorial Health Centre” in honour of a late traditional ruler of Umuchieze, a retired Army Major and respected monarch.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Prof. Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche, lauded the Nigerian Army for its foresight and commitment in civil – military relations.
