Women across all 23 local government areas of Rivers State gathered in unity for the monthly “Rivers Women Unite for SIM” prayer and thanksgiving service, themed “Basking in God’s Rest.”
Clad in white attire symbolizing peace and purity, the women lifted fervent prayers for political stability, the end of unrest, and divine guidance in the state’s leadership. The event, held in Port Harcourt, featured worship sessions, prophetic declarations, and intercessory prayers for reconciliation among political leaders and the lifting of the state of emergency.
Organizers described the service as a continued spiritual effort to foster unity, healing, and lasting peace in Rivers State.
“This is a divine assignment for the soul of Rivers State,” said one participant. “We believe prayer will pave the way for progress and restoration.”
The monthly prayer service remains a growing movement aimed at strengthening faith and solidarity among women while advocating peace through spiritual engagement.
