Abia under Alex Otti, a testament of good governance- Prince Orji.
A London base philanthropist and human empowerment promoter, Prince Michael Orji has said that the two years giant strides recorded by Governor Alex Otti is a testament that good governance could be achieve when someone with vision and desire to make meaningful impact in governance is entrusted with leadership.
Prince Orji stated this while on a telephone interview with our journalist said that the governor has, within two years, surpassed what those on reign of administration of the state could not do for decades.
He said that the impressive score cards of the governor in every sector of the state economy have proved that good governance is possible, and people can have confidence and trust in their leader.
Prince Orji who hailed from Nkporo community, Ohafia local government expressed happiness that Abia state is now a reference point of good governance in the country, unlike in the past, when governance in Abia is made mockery of.
He commended the governor for keeping hope alive and given the people cause to rejoice with the positive projects and programmes put in place for the good of the citizenry.
Prince Orji who is the Chief Executive Officer of the London base Hope Alive Foundation cum Michael Vision Movement (MVM) said that it was heartwarming that within two years, issues of non payment of salaries and pensions of civil servants and pensioners have become history as they now receive their pay every 27th of the month. while more 200 primary health centres have been retrofitted and work is still ongoing in many other centres.
On road construction, Prince Orji commended the governor on the completion of Port Harcourt Road, Aba, Abia Tower- Ossah-Okpara Square, Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Ohafia, and other numerous roads reconstructed in the state have enhanced economic activities.
He equally commended the governor on his achievements in areas of education, SME’s, and attracting foreign and local investments in the stat.
The Nkporo born politician urged Nkporo people and abians in general, not to relent to their massive support to the governor, assuring that he would work assiduously for the reelection of the governor, for Abians to experience more transformational leadership under Otti’s leadership.
He equally commended the deputy governor, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu for being a loyal, trustworthy and dependable ally of the governor stating that the harmonious relationship between the governor and his deputy should be emulated by elected political leaders.
On his philanthropy activities, Prince Orji said that the Hope Alive Foundation cum Michael Vision Movement has done much in empowering the less privileged and vulnerable people in Nkporo community through skills empowerment and scholarship.
He further that many have been assisted to secure employment and soft grant to enhance their businesses.
Prince Orji promised not to relent in making life more meaningful for people and impacting the society with empathy, kindness, and succour to the glory of God.
