Gov Fubara Honours Chief Elechi at Grand Housewarming

In a show of camaraderie and respect, Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, graced the housewarming ceremony of renowned statesman and businessman, Chief Mike Elechi, held in Elele, Ikwerre Local Government Area.

The governor was warmly received by Chief Elechi and a jubilant crowd of well-wishers and supporters, who gathered to witness the high-profile event. Governor Fubara was taken on a guided tour of the magnificent residence, which drew admiration from dignitaries and attendees alike.

The celebration featured a grand reception hosted by Chief Elechi in honour of the governor and other distinguished guests. Adding colour to the occasion, the Ikwerre chapter of the Simplified Movement presented Governor Fubara with a commemorative photo frame.

Governor Fubara was accompanied by an entourage of prominent Rivers leaders and stakeholders, including former Governor, Sir Celestine Omehia; former Green Eagles captain, Chief Adokiye Amiesiemaka; Chief Ambrose Nwuzi; Dr. Sam Sam Jaja; and Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie, among others.
