SSG, Prof. Kenneth Kalu Visits BCA, Reaffirms Support For Media In Rebuilding Agenda

In continuation of his working visit to MDAs in the state,the Secretary to the State Government , Prof. Kenneth Kalu, yesterday visited the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State.

Speaking shortly after he was received by the Acting DG BCA,the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, said the essence of the visit was to interact with the staff, as well as remind them that they are part of the rebuilding Agenda of the present Administration led by Governor Alex Otti.

Prof Kalu charged them as media practitioners with the core mandate of informing ,educating and entertaining the public to embrace the mindset of collaborative and ownership approach to achieve set goals.

He assured the management and staff of the BCA that plans are underway towards addressing their challenges and urged them to continue to contribute their quota by exhibiting high level of professionalism in  carrying out their duties.

In his remark ,the Acting DG, BCA,Mr Francis Nwaubani, expressed joy over the visit, describing it as apt especially now that the administrative block is being retrofitted, courtesy of the Governor, Dr Alex Otti and expressed the hope that the good work will also be extended to the studio complex.

He harped on the need for the provision of modern broadcast equipment to enhance their operation and eulogized the governor for his good work in all the sectors of the state.

In a vote of thanks,the Director Engineering Services in the BCA,Mr Okezie Nkpa , appreciated the SSG, adding that the management and staff will embrace the new mindset of collaboration and ownership approach to achieve set goals assuring him of their total commitment and dedication of the staff in furtherance of the objectives of the Government.

The SSG, Professor Kenneth Kalu was conducted round the studio by the Acting DG BCA ,Mr Francis Nwaubani, while the event which featured interactive session ,attracted the presence of the Permanent Secretary, Office of the SSG, Dr Godwin Okezue,the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process, Dr Oluebube Chukwu, as well as Directors in the BCA were present during the visit.
