A former Commissioner for Environment, Abia State, a Chartered Green Advocate of Nigeria (CGAN), Barr. Tony Nwamuo, has lauded Dr. Alex Chioma Otti Governor Abia State on his strategic leadership in Abia state, with a call to remain focused on delivering his promises to Abians who have elected through popular votes.
He reminded him to always walk the talk of his mandate and to ensure that all divides of Abia landscape benefits from his intentional approach to good governance which is targeted at benefiting the people.
According to the legal luminary, Gov. Otti has continued to take pragmatic steps to reset and boost the people’s confidence and hope in governance in all latitudes on the superhighway of constitutional democracy.
He urged the State Chief Executive to continue to be guided towards hitting target in all he undertakes to do by insisting that he makes inclusiveness of all Abians, the pivot of his administration while delivering dividends of democracy to all nooks and crannies of the state.
In his words: “Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, Governor Abia State, you have been elected by popular votes of Abians to take the state to that pedestal of promise and hope. Nothing more; nothing less, nothing else. Do nothing short of the people’s expectations. Make the security and welfare of the people the principal duty of your government. From the outset, you have shown cause that you are the man for this onerous duty of steering the ship of Abia State to a sure destination of hope and safety.
“This 48-month journey on the saddle, do your utmost to ensure that you place Abia State on the path of holistic and aggregate overhaul, turn around. open fresh vistas of growth and development.
“Abians cannot wait but continue in their support for you until you fix all fixables in the way of governance. We thank God that you have continue to exude so much courage to acquit yourself creditably earning for yourself deserved applauses of excellence when each phase of your work is done and project commissioned and delivered for the people’s use and appreciate and satisfaction.
“Let me make haste therefore to register straightaway the profundity of my appreciation and the enormity of my gratitude for setting out gallantly, like the Trojan Horse to give Abia State a pride of place among the comity of states with the Strategic Engagement of Grade A Contractors to grapple with Essential Road Infrastructures like Julius Berger.
“Bringing your positive highlights in perspectives of excellence into road construction dynamics, of the capital giants of civil engineering number one contractors Julius Berger on duty at Port Harcourt Road Aba quickly answering and putting the horrors, agonies and Traumas of the past behind the citizens of Abia State.
“With other Construction Companies ongoing in various parts of the state, engaged to do what they know to do best in other parts of Abia State especially in reclaiming the Crownland of Aba and Regaining the Confidence of the people in the essence of Public Administration and Government at all levels.
“In the wee-hours of this administration, with actual works commencing early in 2024, with an anticipated terminal package window of eighteen months or thereabout only. Significantly, this phase from Number one from No. 1 Port Harcourt Road/ Cemetery through Alaoji- flyover will be done, delivered, commissioned and open to traffic by members of public use and utility in a few months from now.
“Kudos Governor of the people, by the people and for the people, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.
“From here you have taken your caterpillar revolution to various roads projects both ongoing and completed ones for the good of the people.
“Commending you for the continued construction work on the Caterpillar revolution across every nook and cranny of Abia, especially the Ntighauzor in Obingwa LGA, linking Ukwa-East through Akirika-Obu community.
“Also commendable is the Ohanku Road in Aba and Obohia Road in Aba, we respectfully plead that it be extended to Ohanku Ndoki and Ohuru- Obohia Ndoki Ukwa East to boost economic activities.
These, he said would open up the area economically and give our people a good sense of belonging.
