Arsenal reduced Liverpool’s lead on the league table to six points after dismantling defending champions, Manchester City 5-1 at the Emirate Stadium.
The Gunners took the lead in the second minute as skipper Martin Odegaard capitalized on Manuel Akanji to score.
After the break, Erling Haaland headed in the equalizer but in less than a minute Arsenal were in front again as Thomas Partey’s shot was deflected into Ortega’s net.
Teenage left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly added the third for Arsenal in the 62nd minute before Kai Havertz made it four for Arsenal 15 minutes later.
Substitute, Ethan Nwaneri put the icing on the cake with a superb strike in stoppage time.
Manchester City are fourth on the log but will drop to fifth if Chelsea draw or take all three points against West Ham on Monday Night Football.
