The lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State constituency in Abia state House of Assembly (ABHA), Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, has urged stakeholders in Aba North and Aba South Local Government Areas (LGAs) to remain resolute, maintaining that People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is the only party that empowers the people with critical needs of life.
The Chairman, House Committee on Public Service who disclosed this today during his visits to the areas in Aba, enjoined party faithfuls to remain steadfast and united in People’s Democratic Party (PDP), insisting that the party would regain power in Abia come 2027.

The former Chairman, Obingwa LGA, also commended their efforts in the 2023 polls, imploring them to remain more resilient in PDP amidst the challenges facing the party.
The former Director, Enyimba FC appealed to aggrieved party members who were not favoured in the last party congress, to sheath their swords and support the party, assuring them that PDP would always prioritize the interest of everyone.
The Uhie-born legislator further noted that the goal of returning to power in 2027, would require sacrifice from stakeholders and party members, charging them to step up their games and woo more people into the party.
Erondu Jnr also revealed that PDP had lost power in the state previously, and regained it, expressing hope that the party would regain power in the state come 2027.
In their separate remarks, the member representing Aba North State Constituency in ABHA, Hon. Aaron Uzodike and the Chairman, political Stakeholders, Aba South LGA, Chief Obioma Ekpem, commended the Abia lawmaker for the visits and his efforts to restore the party back to winning ways.
They pledged their unalloyed allegiance to the party, maintaining that those who left the party are mere greedy people with no electoral value.
They called on other political leaders to emulate Erondu Jnr style of leadership and commitment towards the welfare of his constituents and indigent Abians.
Contributing, the PDP Chairman, Aba South LGA, Chief Emeka Egwim and his Aba North counterpart, Barr. Frank Nnaoma, said that the party has carefully noted their mistakes in the last 2023 polls, adding that those who left the party are regretting their actions.
Meanwhile, the Director-General, Igodo Igwe campaign council, Hon. Chidiebere Ihenyirimadu, noted that the visits to stakeholders and party executives has shown that it was only a mere rumour that PDP has collapsed in Aba South and Aba North LGAs and Abia state.
He maintained that there is no other party in Abia with grassroots presence other than PDP, expressing hope that the party will regain their seats at all levels across the state come 2027.
In his vote of thanks, the former Chairman, Aba South LGA, Chief Okezie Erondu, thanked Erondu Jnr for his support to the party, adding that PDP structure is unbeatable in Abia State.
