Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has declared the state as the prime destination for entrepreneurship and investment, with a unique potential for innovation and business growth.
Governor Otti made the assertion on Tuesday at his Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South LGA, country home during a business meeting with a delegation from the US Market Access Center (USMAC) led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Chris Burry.
The governor assured the delegation of his administration’s openness to partnerships that align with its vision of transforming Abia into a hub of innovation and economic prosperity.
He expressed the state government’s readiness to collaborate with USMAC to harness the vast entrepreneurial energy and potential in Aba, the commercial hub of the state.
“When you talk of technology, that’s where we are heading to. If it is about entrepreneurship and innovation, I think you have come to the best place.
“There is no better place, if you are talking about entrepreneurship, than Abia State,” Otti stated.
Governor Otti, who highlighted Aba’s status as a vibrant business hub, urged the delegation to visit key markets such as the Ariaria International Market to witness firsthand the dynamic commercial activities and innovative spirit of the people.
The governor assigned the team to the state’s Commissioner for Science, Technology, and Innovation, Mr. David Kalu, along with other key officials, to develop actionable recommendations for a sustainable partnership with USMAC.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating wealth, alleviating poverty, and fostering development through credible investments and collaborations.
