The third deputy chairman, Abia state council of traditional rulers, HRM Eze Godfrey Chinedu Onwuka has lauded the Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu over Aba – Old Umuahia road.
Fielding questions from newsmen in Umuahia, Eze Onwuka disclosed that the road used to constitute a perennial problem to Umuahia residents and other road users in the last 29 years of Abia statehood but has been reconstructed with quality drainages by Gov. Ikpeazu.
The royal father who described Gov. Ikpeazu as a young man with vision, added that he has provided a roadmap for Abia next level of developments.
He commended the Abia governor for the first flyover in Osisioma, as well as the provision of Enyimba Economic City blueprint which he said would create 700,000 jobs.
The monarch also applauded Gov. Ikpeazu for investing in health, Human Capital Development as well as sending some Abians to learn automated shoe production, adding that his untiring Made-in-Aba campaigns has enhanced the economic fortune of the state.
The traditional ruler of Umutowe Olokoro further revealed that the relationship between the governor and the traditional institution in the state is cordial, adding that their welfare package has been reviewed upward.
He called on Abians, irrespective of their political affiliations to join hands with the governor to move Abia forward, stating that Abia is peaceful under Gov. Ikpeazu.
