The Peculiar Diamond Montessori Academy, Umuagu, Umuahia, has held its 2024 Christmas party at the school premises, Umuagu, Umuahia.
The event, which was the school’s first outdoor event, since her commencement of academic programmes about three months ago, was part of activities to mark the end of the 2024/2025 first term academic session.
Speaking at the event, the Proprietoress of the school, Rev (Mrs) Lizzy Ogala, said that the school was a divine inspiration, borne out to give every child the opportunity to acquire quality education without financial constraints.
Rev Ogala said that this accounted for the conducive learning environment, the calibre of teachers recruited, and the friendly tuition fees system, which has seen no child denied of opportunity to access quality education because of financial hindrance.
According to her, the motive for setting up the school was not for profit making but the provision of a platform to acquire quality education at minimal cost.
She restated the quest of the school to attain high academic excellence with the employment of committed, experienced, qualified, and trained teachers and commended the high level of performances exhibited by the pupils as an indication of high educational knowledge being impacted on the pupils, in line with the vision of developing great minds that would make global impact.
The propiretoress assured that, with the result seen, the school would become one of the best in the state within the next one or two years of its existence.
Rev Ogala said that Peculiar Diamond Academy places a high premium on the spiritual life of the pupils, stressing that they are being equipped with the Biblical knowledge that would help their spiritual growth and disclosed that from the next academic term, the school would be holding monthly praying and fasting programmes for the pupils to help them develop strong spiritual potentials that would help them overcome life challenges.
Earlier, the Head Teacher, Rev Sopuruchi Diokpa, said that the pupils have been impacted with sound educational knowledge that would make them compete favourablely with their contemporaries from other schools.
Rev Diokpa reassured parents that they would not regret trusting the educational future/needs of their children in the school as they have capable teachers that would impact the requiste knowledge on the pupils.
He said that what the pupils have demonstrated was just a little of what they have acquired in the last three months and promised that they have the capacity to transform any child no matter how dull to a bright pupil.
Rev Diokpa commended the friendly disposition of the propiretoress who goes out of the way to meet even the personal needs of the pupils and appealed to parents to compliment tgis gesture by providing their children with the required educational materials that would help them meet up in their studies.
The event featured recitations, dancing, and presentation of prices to good performing pupils.
