Some senators have reportedly donated over 1,000 bags of rice to Kogi state civil servants who have not been paid salaries in the last 10 months.
Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west disclosed this after plenary on Wednesday.
He said the gesture was meant to alleviate the pains of the workers.
He had earlier drawn the attention of his colleagues to the plight of the civil servants.
Calling on well-meaning Nigerians to also contribute relief materials for the workers, the senator gave the breakdown of the donation.
He listed Ike Ekweremadu as the highest donor. Below is a table of the senators who were said to have made the contribution:
