Governor Alex Otti of Abia State will tomorrow Tuesday, 3rd December, Commission the newly reconstructed Abak Street and Obior a Road in Aba.
The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, disclosed this while briefing Journalists on the outcome of this week’s Executive Council meeting, presided over by Governor Otti.
He revealed that the Governor will also flag off the construction of the Onuimo-Tower of Peace Road and the Umuokpara Ring Road, as part of efforts to accelerate the state’s development.
Prince Kanu equally announced that Governor Otti will in keeping to the State Government’s sustainable development present the 2025 Budget Estimate to the Abia House of Assembly next week.
According to Prince Kanu, the 2025 Budget emphasizes the present administration’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and social equity.
“The budget has been prepared to underscore the Abia State Government’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and social equity.
“This underscores the essence of planning and transparency in the Governance process. Tthat exercise is most likely to hold next week”, Prince kanu noted.
The Commissioner revealed that Governor Otti would alsol perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the proposed Enyimba 5-Star Hotel in Aba this December.
He said that the Enyimba 5-Star Hotel is a key component of the Governor’s infrastructural development agenda, aimed at boosting the state’s economy, particularly in Aba, the economic nerve center of Abia State.
Prince Kanu noted that the hotel, which will be managed by a leading global hospitality chain, will feature World-cCass facilities, including a state-of-the-art Conference Center, among others.
Kanu also provided updates on the ongoing primary healthcare project, which is aimed at constructing 200 primary health centers across the 184 wards in the state, pointing out that the initiative is designed to address the healthcare needs of residents, particularly those at the grassroots level.
