The Abia State Governor Dr Okezie lkpeazu has described prayers from various Churches in the State as the brain behind numerous achievements recorded by the present administration in terms of infrastructural and human development.
Dr lkpeazu who stated this during the dedication to of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia appreciated the Seventh Day Adventist and other Churches in the State for always interceding for the State’s leadership and urged them to not to relent to enable them get their target in governance.
The Governor represented by his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu congratulated members of the World Bank Housing Estate of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for achieving this feat of erecting and dedicating their magnificent building and called on members to sustain their sacrifice for God as it attract Divine blessings.
In his sermon, the President, Seventh Day Adventist Church, Eastern Nigeria Union Conference, Pastor Bassey Udoh described the dedication as a monumental landmark in the history of the Church and enjoined members to make the building a center point where the word of God is preached.
In their remarks, the Chairman of the building Committee, Mr Basil Chukwu and a member of the Committee, Elder Ezebunwa Ubani said they are overwhelmed with joy for the realization and dedication of a befitting place of worship which was accomplished through the contributions and cooperation of every member of the Church and non members, thanking them for their support.
The service which featured dedicatory prayers for the Church building and special prayers for the Governor, Dr Okezie lkpeazu, his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu as well as for the continued peace and progress of the State attracted the presence of Special Aides to the Governor and his Deputy, top Govt Officials, the Clergy and other distinguished personalities.
