The member representing Arochukwu/ Ohafia federal constituency Uko Nkole has flagged off the distribution of Educational and Instructional materials worth over two hundred million naira to public schools in the federal Constituency.
Speaking while flagging off the exercise at the Abia Community Primary School, and Amangwu Community School Ohafia LGA Uko Nkole said that he attracted the Educational materials for public schools in his Constituency in line with an appeal made by Teachers across the federal Constituency during a meeting with them in 2017.
Uko Nkole noted that the gesture will to a great extent complement the efforts of the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Administration towards providing qualitative and affordable Education for all Abians.
He said that the Educational and Instructional materials including School band, white board, modern classroom desks, among others are part of his strategy to scale up enrollment into public Schools.
The federal lawmaker said that the gesture is also in support of the Education-friendly Administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu assuring that the materials will go round the one hundred and eighty six public schools in Arochukwu Ohafia/ federal constituency.
He urged the school managements and pupils to make judicious use of the materials while calling on the youths to help provide security for the materials as to enable it serve its purpose.
While commending the Teachers of the schools for their steadfastness and commitment in inculcating good morals in the pupils and directed that the modern classroom desks be spread across the classes in order of performance to challenge others to wake up from slumber.
Uko Nkole noted that the need for more teachers in public schools as well as the need to reduce the burden on parents led to the motion on the need regularize employment of PTA Teachers across the country and Promised to help renovate the Abia Community classroom blocks.
In their speeches, the traditional ruler of Abia Community Ezieogo Emmanuel Amah Ebere ,the President General of the Community Elder Nduka Okwara and the Headteacher of Akanu Ohafia Community School Mrs Precious Eke Obidiya said that the federal lawmaker Uko Nkole has through his numerous projects scattered across the federal Constituency distinguished himself as a true servant -Leader.
Also Speaking the traditional ruler of Amangwu Ohafia Ezieogo Akuma NMECHA, President General Amangwu Ohafia Chief Olugu Kalu Ugba and the Headteacher Amangwu Ohafia Community School Mrs Ume Dina George noted that the federal lawmaker has continued to show example in all spheres of life and prayed God to continue to bless the federal lawmaker
Uko Nkole had earlier called on the traditional ruler of Abia Community Ezieogo Emmanuel Amah Ebere in his palace where he was decorated as indigene of Abia Ohafia community.
