The Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area (LGA), Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo, has issued a disclaimer regarding a fraudulent “Demand Notice” circulating among residents and businesses areas.
According to the release, the notice falsely requests financial contributions for local security enhancements.
In a statement signed by the Council CSO, Chinwo Innocent and sighted by our Reporter, the Executive Chairman clarified that no such directive has been authorized, urging the community to disregard the notice.
He enjoined anyone who receives such to report the perpetrator to the nearest police station for prosecution.
