Massive Turnout Recorded As ZLP Kicks Off Local Govt Election Campaigns In Abia

 

The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has officially launched its campaign for the upcoming Chairmanship and Councillorship elections in Abia State, scheduled for November 2nd.

 

The campaign flag off which took place at the Enyimba International Stadium Aba, drew a massive crowd of enthusiastic party faithfuls from all the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.

Addressing party members at the event, the State Chairman of the ZLP, Mr. Chris Onukwue,
emphasized the party’s determination to secure victory in the forthcoming local government polls.

Onukwue, called on all Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates across the 17 local government areas to extend their campaigns to all and crannies of the state in addition to working closely with the party’s leadership to ensure success at the elections.

In their separate speeches, the former Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Alex Otti and ZLP Chairmanship candidate for Isuikwuato, Mr Chinedu Ekeke, his Umuahia North counterpart, Chief Smart Ihuoma as well as the Councillorship candidate for Ibeku East Ward 2, Chisom Nworgu thanked the leadership of the party for the confidence reposed in them.

They pledged to campaign vigorously throughout the state and promised to deliver victory for the ZLP..

The candidates assured that they would represent the new era of leadership at the grassroots when elected.
