Chief Inem Lauds PPP-Driven Factory In Aba, Promises Job Creation And Industrial Growth

 

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade, Commerce, and Industry, Chief Nwaka Inem, has affirmed the present administration’s dedication to restoring Aba as a thriving economic and production hub, a status it was once renowned for.

 

Chief Inem stated this during a familiarization visit to the NCS/EROJIM Automated Shoe, Garment, and Leather Factory Aba, established under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between the Federal Ministry of Interior and Erojim Company.

 

The Governor’s Aide who lauded the significant strides being made under Governor Alex Otti’s leadership, described the establishment of the factory as a crucial part of the Governor Otti’s efforts to boost local industries, noting that its employment capacity promises increased IGR, as well as productive engagement for the citizens, especially the youths.

 

 

The government of His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, is committed to empowering the people, providing avenues to take them off the streets.

 

With the employment capacity of this factory, we are confident that a significant number of our youths will find gainful employment, thereby reducing street idleness.

“I will gladly communicate this progress to His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR. This investment is in line with our campaign promises of creating a business-friendly environment where enterprises like this can thrive, leading to increased employment and enhanced internally generated revenue”, Inem stated.

 

While reiterating the administration’s commitment to reviving moribund industries in Abia State, Chief Inem noted that the government is also encouraging the establishment of new businesses through initiatives such as the Office of Ease of Doing Business which guarantees conducive environment for investors and one hundred percent return on investment.

 

 

Inem while noting that the state government is working tirelessly to bring moribund industries in the state back to life, pledged governments support for the automated factory, assuring that all necessary resources and assistance will be provided to ensure its success.

Governor Alex Otti is quite committed to restoring what Aba is known for not just as a name but must be a city of high production and Government will partner with all to make sure their brands are marketed nationally and globally.

 

 

We are going to give every support, every information, every necessary assistance to make sure that this place succeeds because we are not happy with some factories that closed down in the past and we are making sure that all moribund industries come back to life“, he assured.

 

Earlier while conducting Chief Nwaka Inem and his team round the factory, the Chief Operation Officer of the Company Dr Esang Demben commended the level of infrastructural development in Aba under the 16-months administration of Governor Alex Otti, including the improved power supply following the historic commissioning of the Geometric Power Station, ABA.

Demben expressed optimism that the factory would soon be connected to the national grid, noting that they currently rely on generator power for their eight-hour workdays with a daily production capacity of 1,500 pairs of shoes and 5,000 garments.
