Petty Traders in Abia Receive Financial Support from Obinwanne Foundation

The Obinwanne Foundation brightened the day of petty traders in Abia State on September 12, 2024 at the Abia Hotels Banquet Hall where the foundation disbursed ₦10,000 cash donations to indigent Nigerians, providing a much-needed boost to their small businesses.

The founder of the Obinwanne Foundation, Hon. Barr. Randy Ukanwoke Obinwanne, reiterated that if properly utilized, the cash donation would yield significant returns for the beneficiaries. He described the money as a “blessed fund,” capable of uplifting their businesses.

Barr. Obinwanne further explained that the donation would enable recipients to expand and improve their businesses, support their families, and contribute to the local economy. He noted that this was the third disbursement of the year and encouraged the beneficiaries to work hard and invest wisely as they await the fourth disbursement before the year ends.

It is important to note that the Obinwanne Support Initiative, commonly known as the Obinwanne Foundation, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization focused on helping the less privileged in society, particularly vulnerable women and children. Founded in July 2011, the foundation has persisted despite financial challenges that have limited its ability to fully reach its target population.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Barr. Obinwanne urged them to work diligently and make effective use of the funds in their ventures. He reassured them that although the amount might seem small, it would yield bountiful returns, given the blessing upon it.

The event, which was colorful and well-attended, saw several dignitaries in attendance, including the Director General of the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State, Mr. Francis Nwaubani; Commander Mark Donald Ubah (Rtd), Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters; Chief Ike Jones, the General Manager of Abia Newspapers and Publishing Corporation; Mr. Onyebuchi Ogbonna, the Marketing Manager of Rapid FM; Hon.
