We Will Build A New Govt House Befitting For Abia People -Gov Otti

 

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has assured Abians that plans are underway to rebuild the Government House by the end of the year, promising that befitting structures would be erected for the people of the state.

 

Governor Otti disclosed this at the Arochukwu Local Government Council Headquarters while commissioning some projects executed by the Council’s Mayor.

The Governor who emphasized his commitment to transforming the state seat of power to a befitting edifice for government operations, explained that the dilapidated state of structures at Government House has prevented him from operating there.

 

“The story is everywhere in Abia. Today I am not operating from the government house in Umuahia because there’s no government house, everywhere is dilapidated and decayed.

“The option would have been to use the money I used to pay pensioners and begin to retrofit the government House but I felt that we could operate from anywhere while doing the most important thing first.

 

“I am proud to report that before the end of this year, we are going to break down those dilapidated buildings and we’ll put up structures that are befitting for our people who are enlightened like Abia people”, the Governor stated.

 

He further reiterated his administration’s commitment to high standards in all projects including road construction, school renovations, and healthcare delivery.

“It’s either they are done to the best and highest standards or we won’t do them at all. We don’t cut corners”, Otti asserted

 

Governor Otti while commending the Arochukwu Council Mayor for the projects executed, noted that they align with his administrations vision for Abia state.

 

In his speech, the Mayor of Arochukwu , Joe Ezearo highlighted the significant improvements made at the council headquarters, attributing the success to Governor Otti’s unwavering support to the council.

 

He recalled that upon assumption of office, the council headquarters was in a dilapidated state hence the subsequent reconstruction efforts undertaken to address the issues.

 

The event attracted many dignitaries including Member representing Arochukwu state constituency, Hon. Uchenna Okoro,
Eze Aro of Arochukwu, Dr. Eberechukwu Kanu Oji among others
