An Abuja-based lawyer, Barr. Precious Emmanuel Azubuike has applauded the Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, National Assembly, Abuja, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu for his sponsorship of South East Development Commission (SEDC), that has been signed into lae by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja today, Barr. Azubuike who decried effects of the civil war 54 years ago, noted that the bill comes as a beacon of hope for the region.
This he said would facilitate the reconstruction and rehabilitation of critical infrastructure, promote economic development and enhance the quality of life for the people of South-East geopolitical zone.
Azubuike who also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving assent to the bill, stated that the bill would usher a new era of development and prosperity for the southeast region.
He commended the Deputy Speaker for his leadership prowess and commitment to peace and development of the southeast, pledging his support for the federal lawmaker.
